Hi, Firstly, I apologize for my bad English. May I know, what the different between DNS Server and install Bind on the server? I've installed ISPConfig without problem and right now, I want to use it with my own DNS which I can set it on my client domain name server later. Example: ns1.mydomain.com ns2.mydomain.com So, my question is, do I need 2 different IP in my single server or 2 different server? If I can set it on my single server, is there any command for me to use? I'm using DigitalOcean, but there is no subscription for buying other IP.
If you can, it is definitely better to have two dns servers each with their own ip. If you cannot, there is no specific command to run it on a single server but you still need second dns server for backup. You may use free secondary dns server like the one offered by ns2.afraid.org.
