Hello everyone, I have a client which is having a online store with a company named shopify. he wants to redirect his store to a purchased domain hosted on my server. The shopify team asked him to create an A record of his domain.com to pint to an ip address they gave him, also the asked him to create a CNAME for www and to point also to some name belonging to them. now the issue is when he is going to https://domain.com:8080 it is going to the shopify page, and same for https://domain.com/webmail. any way to sort this out. Thanks for help, and sorry if it is a silly question as i am still trying to learn.
No. When the domain points in DNS to another server, then he can not reach your server under that domain. The only thing that you might do for him is to create a subdomain like server.domain.tld which points to your server and then he can use http://server.domain.tld/webmail
