    Hi Guys
has anyone got an image of the perfect dns setup
    the image should include the
    a record
    cname
    mx
    and spf
I am sure from the image I could configure my setup

also my setup only has one public ip and the sites 3 are on a redirect from my isp
does a redirect redirect all these records ?

If I could get the answers to above as I am not convinced my isp is giving me the right answers

    Thanks
haaaa sorry guys I am in the wrong forum don't know how to change it ?

Did you have a look here? http://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig_dns_godaddy

Redirects don't work. The DNS records must point directly to your server.

    Hi
I already have an isp and although some have said that redirects don't work
I am receiving emails and sending emails to other sites
I have message in the maildir but I can't access it there are no errors
in outlook it must be the way I have setup the dns so If i Could just see a proper setup of the dns records this would be a lot of help

the a record is setup like this
    IP-Adresse Hostname
    192.168.1.50 mysite.org

    the mx record

    Mailserver Hostname
    mysite.org mail

    is this right ?

    Thanks

There's no need to use ISPConfig's DNS Manager if the DNS records for your domain are handled by your ISP.
Can you send yourself an email and at the same time check your mail log with
    Code:
    tail -f /path/to/maillog
? Do you see it arrive?
    What's the output of
    Code:
    netstat -tap
    ?

    What's in /etc/postfix/main.cf (please strip out the comments), /etc/postfix/local-host-names, and /etc/postfix/virtusertable? What's in /etc/aliases?
    What's the output of
    Code:
    hostname
    and
    Code:
    hostname -f
    ?
