    Hello Again,
I followed the Perfect Setup for Etch (to the letter) which of course includes using Bind for DNS.

I also followed Falko's directions on how to use a registered administrative domain name (with Stargate) and use Managed DNS service to setup A records for my name servers which I then used as my Primary and Secondary name servers for my web domains (I actually only have one name server on my web box but I created two A records... one for ns1.xxx.info and one for ns2.xxx.info using the same IP).

I then followed the HowTo on running your own name servers using GoDaddy to create my DNS records for each of my domains using ISPConfig.

My question is do I need to configure anything else for my name server to work correctly? I've seen references to "DNS forwarders" on another post so I thought I'd ask the question.

I'm currently waiting for my name servers to propogate so I thought I'd pose the question while I'm waiting so I can address any other task that may need completing.

    Thanks again!!!

    Tom

    No.

    You don't need DNS forwarders.

Thanks, Falko. Everything seems to working very well at this stage. I documented EVERYTHING I did so I should be good to go setting up my next web server (what fun.... :) )
