Do I need BIND DNS?

    It seems that im my VPS BIND DNS is always down. In the beginning I started it sometimes, but it was usually down the next time I checked.

    Do I actually need BIND DNS? The VPS is running otherwise fine without it.

    No, unless you want to run your own nameserver.
