Hi: I am just wondering whether Dovecot (http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-5.6-x86_64-ispconfig-3-p4) installation according to this does support STARTTLS/TLS support by default? I checked at official Dovecot wiki (http://wiki.dovecot.org/SSL) but could not find a clear explanation.
Yes, thats supported by default. But I guess you might mix up postfix and dovecot here, because the setting "STARTTLS/TLS " in most mail clients is related to smtp and the smtp daemon is postfix and not dovecot. You can see in postfix master.cf file, if tls is enabled. if the line "smtps" has a # in front, then it is disabled and you can enable it by removing the # and restarting postfix.
Thanks, Till. But I am just wondering whether the stuffs in this tutorial ( http://www.howtoforge.com/centos-5.1-server-lamp-email-dns-ftp-ispconfig-p5) or this (http://www.howtoforge.com/virtual-users-and-domains-postfix-courier-mysql-centos5.1-p2) is covered by http://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-server-centos-5.6-x86_64-ispconfig-3-p4?
