So I've run across another problem. I'm using ISPConfig3, and when I create a domain (xxx.com) and a subdomain for it (www.xxx.com) the www.xxx.com one works, but the xxx.com shows the default apache index page (not the ISPConfig3 one). It doesn't appear to matter whether I create the subdomain or use the autocreate option. Any ideas why I might have this difficulty?
There is no such bug known and I tested these functions 2 hours ago. If a subdomain does not show ip, then it is most likely not directoed to the correct IP address. Make sure that the domain points to the same IP then the website and be aware that changes in dns take up to 48 hours to propagate.
Update... So here's where we stand now... I'm still having this issue, but only with my main domain. i.e. the domain that i set up ispconfig itself on. any other domains i set up (i have two others right now) work fine. to see what i'm talking about, go to ghost1227.com/www.ghost1227.com --Edit-- So I got it working... it's probably not the prettiest way of doing it, but it works
