    trying to install ispconfig according to https://www.howtoforge.com/perfect-...hp-mysql-pureftpd-bind-dovecot-ispconfig-3-p4
    ubuntu 14.04 - VPS
    when -
    apt-get install postfix postfix-mysql postfix-doc mysql-client mysql-server openssl getmail4 rkhunter binutils dovecot-imapd dovecot-pop3d dovecot-mysql dovecot-sieve sudo
    Getting -
    The following packages have unmet dependencies:
    dovecot-mysql : Depends: dovecot-core (= 1:2.0.19-0ubuntu2.2) but 1:2.2.9-1ubuntu2 is to be installed
    E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

    my source list -

    This file is a mix of the sources.list from 2 different ubtuntu versions and causes your dependency errirs. Replace your sources list file with the one from the tutorial, then run

    apt-get update

    and proceed with the installation.

    If postfix does not start ten you might have uncommented wrong lines, compare the lines that you uncommented against the ones from tutorial.
