    Hi,
Tunderbird (or similar and Fetchmail too) needs of course the username and password to download the e-mails from the server.

I'd like use as username the e-mail address (instead "web99_xx") as is the case for webmail UebiMiao or Sentimail.

How can I get this, with the mail servers configurated and administered by ISPConfig?

    Thanks a lot,
    Luca

    Thanks Till.

I've looked that thread, but it's possible the similar solution with Courier instead Dovecot?

The webmail (UebiMiao or Sentimail) use already the e-mail address for authentication.

    Thanks a lot,
    Luca

It is recommended that you use dovecot, the courier solutions do not work that well. Switching from courier to dovecot is easy, just install the dovecot daemon and remove courier with the software management tool of your linux distribution.

That is something different, these packages are patched to support email address login.
