Suppose we have a setup with two ISPConfig Servers, ServerA (master) and ServerB (slave). Can have two ISPConfig Interfaces to manage the MySQL database, one on ServerA and one on ServerB? In case ServerA fails, how can we turn ServerB into master? Then suppose we create a new mail domain Domain.TLD on ServerA and the same mail domain on ServerB. We would like to create mailboxes on ServerA and then, automatically, the mailboxes would be created on ServerB also. Can this be done? We would like to avoid management time for the two servers. Does anybody have anything to suggest as an alternative? Thank you in advance for your support, Panos.
Yes, please see ispconfig cluster server installation guide: https://www.howtoforge.com/installi...tabase-cluster-on-debian-6.0-with-ispconfig-3
Thank you Till. Excellent guide! I will try to set it up. Some questions: Can we have a mailbox created on two servers automatically? In DNS we will have two MX records for this domain so emails may be received by either server. Willl the cluster setup work with NGINX also? Can an existing master/slave ISPConfig setup be converted into a master/master setup? Can we have a three ISPConfig masters cluster? Can we have a two ISCPConfig masters cluster with one ISPConfig slave server? Can this slave be promoted to master if a master fails? Thank you in advance for your support, Panos.
