(sorry for my bad english, i'm from germany)

I have made a new user per "User&Email" in ISPConfig.

The Mailaddy is [email protected], the User is web1_test.

If i call my mails with outlook, it says bad username or password.
The Log on the Server says:

If I call the mail with UebiMiau, it says bad username or password too.

In Outlook the Username is web1_test, at UebiMiau it is [email protected] (right?)

I have change the passwort, but the problem is the same...

    Pleace help me!

    P.S. ISPConfig is great ;)

    Sometimes ISPConfig crashes with Courier

What distro do you use for your ISPConfig server?
What version of ISPConfig do you have installed?

Sometimes ISPConfig, Postfix, & Courier do not play well together. Try installing Dovecot and disabling Courier/xinetd.

Take a look at disabling xinetd below:

    http://www.howtoforge.com/forums/showthread.php?t=6005

Now you will not have a functioning mail server until you replace xinetd with something friendlier. So you may want to try installing Dovecot using apt-get , yum, or yast depending on your version of Linux that you are running.

Good Luck and let me know what helps and what does not.:)

Never had any problems with courier and courier is the most tested pop3/imap daemon with ISPConfig, so switching to dovecot is not really a solution and in my opinion not nescessary.

    To the original problem.

Please make sure that you enable the maildir checkbox under manegement > server > settings on the mail tab.

    Yes, thats ok.

What kind of setup do you use? The ISPConfig postfix never uses a mysql module, a mysql postfix setup is not compatible with ISPConfig. Did you follow the debian 3.1 perfect setup guide exactly to install your server?

No, I dont use the debian 3.1 perfect setup guide, because i have allso own configurations.

How kan i remove and reinstall postfix the right way?

Okay, I have done this, but at the telnet-part i see

    250-AUTH LOGIN PLAIN DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5
    250-AUTH=LOGIN PLAIN DIGEST-MD5 CRAM-MD5

    not

    250-AUTH=LOGIN PLAIN
    250-AUTH=LOGIN PLAIN

And there is the same problem as before: Outlook AND Webmail tells me that the Username and/or Password are wrong. But the dialog cames faster as before *g*

(sorry for my bad, bad english...)

Because you entered test in the field hostname of the website and additionally you set the domain limit too low so ISPConfig was not able to create a co-domain with empty hostname automatically.

    Dr.Oetker New Member

But the Domainlimit is -1 :(

now i have added the co-domain mydomain.de manualy, now the mailaddy [email protected] is shown in the virtusertable.

But it dosnt work, ther is allways "the user/password is wrong"

Maybe you have a limit at the reseller set?

To fix it, just add a co-domain with empty hostname and domain "mydomain.de".

So, i have tested somethings and now it works, but only with [email protected]

I have creat the Co-Domain mydomain.de with out a host.

but [email protected] dont work! Outlook says the Mailaddy is wrong, but in ispconfig is it listed and in the /etc/postfix/virtusertable too.

What's the exact error message? What's in your mail log when this happens?
    What's in /etc/postfix/virtusertable?

Wen i use the mail [email protected], outlook says the mailaddy is wrong. If i use [email protected], it works, but i cant receive mails.
