I finally got my server up and running and finallyyyyy got the email to work, but now I have a new problem. I can send and receive mail using the webmail module just fine, but if i try to get my E107 CMS to send out an email it is returned from smtpauth.earthlink.net that the email address is invalid. I've search all over the web for an answer but no luck. I don't even have a idea where to every begin to look.
Ok found out what was the problem. E107 defaults to a PHP mail option but needs to be set for sendmail instead. Now I can put the gun away and not put a hole through the computer.
