Hello, I've a 22.04 perfect server running ISPconfig 3.2 The email server hosts some email domains with website is hosted on AWS. In general this works fine except for one problem domain. With this problem domain SMTP on 587/STARTLS doesn't work (IMAP 143 is fine) Its seems to be due to a certificate problem. Sending email works in Joomla test mail if I use port 25 and no authentication However, Thunderbird, Acymailing and Outlook report unable to use SMTP because of failure to login with username and password. Outlook reports the mail server domain certificate is out of date. However checking with https://www.sslshopper.com/ssl-checker.html shows the mail server certificate certificate is live and current and well within date. The email server is running certbot and set up using https://forum.howtoforge.com/thread...d-lets-encrypt-ssl-certificate-certbot.86372/ I've checked email usernames and passwords are correct and reinstalled email client and accounts with same result. As far as I can tell the configuration of the problem email account in ISPCONFIG is identical to the configuraiton of email accounts that work fine. I welcome advice on where I should look next or what to do to resolve the situation..
Can you share the hostname? sslshopper check can show the date correctly as it accesses the webserver, but if you did not configure it correctly for your mailserver than that might use the outdated cert.
Thanks ThOm, yes, of course, they are different. I followed https://forum.howtoforge.com/thread...d-lets-encrypt-ssl-certificate-certbot.86372/ and the other email accounts are working fine. That's puzzling me. I'd welcome advice on how to troubleshoot this.
