Email dont working - ISPConfig

    Hi,
    I install a web server in my VPS, following the tut "Perfect Server", but for some reason, I can't connect from roundcube (The connection to IMAP server failed) and outlook, dont find automaticly the server config, like other emails I have.

    I try to configure manually in outlook, no luck.

    I don't know if I miss something or not.

    This is the config on my provider, all pointing to IP of VPS.
    My website (diogoesteves.pt) working fine, and FTP to.

    Anything you need, I send, but I need to understand what I possibly do wrong.

    Take look into the mail.log file to find out why the dovecot login fails.

    Try to login to roundcube with an account that you created in ISPConfig, then check the mail.log to see which errors got logged there for the failed login.

    Ok, so dovecot is not starting at all. Take a look in the mail.log to find out why it fails to start.

    I reinstal postfix and dovecot and now, the problem is I cant, by roundcube do login. I just dont have any error. And dovecot is running

    The reinstall removed the whole mail server configuration, so the system can not work anymore. You will have to do in ISPConfig update now with reconfigure services = yes to fix the broken configuration. And in case that dovecot does not start again afterwards, then follow my suggestion and look at the log file to find out why, a reinstall like you did it just makes things worse in most cases.

    create an email account in ispconfig, login to webmail on the server with this account and send an email to the exact same address that you used for the webmail login. wait a minute and then check if the mail shows up in the inbox in webmail. If not, check the mail.log file for errors that occurred during mail sending from webmail.

    There must be something in the log for the email sending process, please check again.

    Amavis is not started. Start the amavis service. If it doesn't start, then it might be that your hostname is set up wrong.

    The error already tells you what you can do and the mail.log will also show you why it can't start.

    The problem seems to be memory, your server has not enough RAM. How much ram does it has?
