trying to forward an internal email adress defined in ispconfig to an external email out of the box I get the following message: "ERROR "An email already exists at that address" If I provide an unexisting source email adress it works. Then how do I forward an existing email adress to an exeternal existing address ? Thanks
an address can exist only as mailbox or as forward, but not both. If you want to forward email to an external source, thend elete the mailbox. If you just want to send copys, use the send copy to function of the mailbox.
Not shure I was clear: Not shure I was clear: The mailbox [email protected] is defined in ispconfig The forward [email protected] is not defined in ispconfig I want all the mails sent to [email protected] to be forwarded to [email protected] but I get that message "An email already exists at that address". Of course [email protected] exists in ispconfig but [email protected] no !
You get this error because you have already a mailbox [email protected]. I explained that in post #2 in this thread. Go to the mailbox listand press the delete button in the line "[email protected]" to remove the mailbox. Then go back to the forwrads list and add a forward for [email protected] pointing to the yahoo address.
