email message delayed and never gets delivered

    Hi

    I have one vendor who can never email me, he has to use his personal email. i have no idea why, all other emails seem to be coming in fine. here is his error message email that he gets when trying to email me:

    This is the issue, they have a problem in their configuration so it sends out a incorrect HELO.

    Also, please put such output in code tags in the future.

    In recent ISPConfig versions there is a 'Reject unknown hostnames' setting in Server Config that controls if unknown hostnames are rejected or not. On a semi-related note, I explicitly block all hostnames identifying as the .local domain, so even without unknown hostname restrictions, that would get blocked on most (all?) servers here.
