Hi folks, I got an account on my ISPConfig box who only send emails to domains listed on server, but if I try to send out an email to another domain yahoo, hotmail, gmail or any other just bounce!! Any hints to solve that!! Thanks
Please post the messages that you get in the mail log when you send an email to a account outside. Do you have smtp authentication enabled in your mailclient?
Hi Till, Now domain is sending emails but not sure about activities, please take a look. Thank you for your reply Falko, This is weird, in the past I did not have that many problems with emails accounts and websites as today, should I need to upgrade or build a new box? I've looked on ISPConfig on DNS Manager and select mentioned domain and looked over records and I got: MX Mailserver Hostname 200.89.230.204 ________ (Priority 10) was alrady there acui.org.co ________ (Priority 20) I just add it All my websites on my ISPConfig box are alike, what this was happening before? What will be the proper settings that should be placed on DNS Manager? Thanks
Please post the output of the following command executed on your server: dig @localhost mx acui.org.co Please also check that your ISPCOnfig server is really authoritive for the domain and not another DNS server.
I've followed fedora core 4 perfect setup and no more changes were done, I've check ISPConfig settings and /etc/named is chosen. Don't know what other part to look for! Thanks
You must tell your domain registrar that your ISPConfig server should be the authoritative name servers for acui.org.co, and then you must create DNS records for that domain on your ISPConfig systems. Also take a look at this tutorial: http://www.howtoforge.com/ispconfig_dns_godaddy
Greetings Falko, Thank you for your reply, sadly that domain is a org.co and we can't do nothing with it, and to make it worst nic.co only provides nameserver access no extra features. What other options can we use ?? Thanks
Well, I'll say I got edu.co domain working with ISPConfig and org.co domain is with nic.co. I think if works for edu.co can work as well with org.co don't you think?
What option should I take, we can send emails to that account with all nameservers located on my ISPConfig box but non externals. Here is the error that I got when am trying to send one out: This is the Postfix program at host morticia.educandote.net. I'm sorry to have to inform you that your message could not be delivered to one or more recipients. It's attached below. For further assistance, please send mail to <postmaster> If you do so, please include this problem report. You can delete your own text from the attached returned message.
