what does the default email client account id for your first email account and website look like? Just installed ispconfig 3
There is no such account. The username of an email account is the one that you ctreated, there are no defaults. Same goes for websites.
ok thanks, the receiving part works now with entourage, but it's now saying that the SMTP user/password are incorrect. P.S. Ispconfig 3 is awesome, SOOOO easy to install!, can't wait for the official release!
Hey, this is a snippet of the bottom of the log right after i tried send something. I couldn't see anything that i knew how to change, but i'm still very new to this whole thing. I've made 3 websites on my server running ISPconfig 3. They are grizzlypaintball.com, grizzlyarmor.com, and missoularentalcompany.com. I've deleted the originally index file of the web directory but the "it works" page still come up when you put a "www" in front of the website. Entering it without works fine. Any idea why this is and how to fix it?
I don't see anything related to the login problem in the log excerpt. Can you post another excerpt? Please add the www address as a Co-Domain to the web site in ISPConfig.
Thanks again for the help. This is a snippet right after a fialed login. Looks like a SASL problem? I'll play around with it.
Seems as if sasslauthd is not installed or configured correctly. Please run this command: Code: apt-get install postfix postfix-mysql postfix-doc mysql-client mysql-server courier-authdaemon courier-authlib-mysql courier-pop courier-pop-ssl courier-imap courier-imap-ssl postfix-tls libsasl2 libsasl2-modules libsasl2-modules-sql sasl2-bin libpam-mysql openssl courier-maildrop getmail4 Then run: ispconfig_update_from_svn.sh and select to reconfigure the services when the updater asks you. Yes, falko meant the alias domain. You would either have to enter www.domain.com when you create a website itself or make a alias domain.
thanks Till, ran the first command and installed one program. Ran the second command and got the following: Code: The following NEW packages will be installed: libsasl2 0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 8 not upgraded. Ok, the missing sasl package explains why the email auth did not work. The sasl package is part of the installations instructions. Please run: apt-get install subversion and then run the second command again.
