    Hello,

I need to migrate some servers from old ISPConfig version (3.0.3 & 3.0.4.1) to new ISPConfig servers 3.1, I've been looking for the best way to migrate the email accounts, my concern is that the old mail servers are running under Courier IMAP/POP3 Daemon and Mailfilter Syntax is Maildrop.

I have the option to set up the new server under Courier/Maildrop but I've read that Dovecot is recommended on new installations; right now the new servers are configured under Dovecot/Sieve. What kind of tools or procedure would you recommended to perform the migration?.

Also I have the option to copy the email mailboxes to a external hard drive and then copy to the new server but I don't know if this procedure is accurate or recommended and if they would be readable by the new servers.

I would really appreciate your feedback and advices.

    Thanks in advance.

In general, you can do that with the ISPConfig Migration tool which can do the courier to dovecot migration as well (or you do it manually on the shell plus change the folder structure of the mailboxes for the courier > dovecot conversion). Is this a single server or is it a node in a multi-server setup?

    Till,
First of all thanks for your always help.
Really is a couple of servers standalone each, do you think is possible to use the import tool with these old ISPConfig versions ? Both old servers OS are 32-bit (Centos 5.5-ISPConfig 3.0.3 & Centos 6.2-ISPConfig 3.0.4.1).
