Milter is not used on a ISPConfig setup. Comment out these lines: milter_protocol = 2 milter_default_action = accept smtpd_milters = inet: localhost: 12301 non_smtpd_milters = inet: localhost: 12301 and restart postfix.

Thats ok, but you have to test the mail system then locally by using webmail (login to webmail and send a test message to the same address that you used for the webmail login. the mail should arrive after 20 - 30 seconds in the inbox. And the error messages are still the same in mail.log when you test it?
Till, No change. I logged in with the into the mailbox sent a email to the same email and no reply. What is happening is that all the emails are in the sent folder but not going anywhere. The inbox is still empty. When sending an email to this mailbox from gmail I am not getting any error. Thats ok. leave them as they are. The most likely issue with amavisd is a wrongly set hostname. Does the command: hostname -f return a fully qualified domain name like server1.example.com?

That's ok so far. Did you really start with a fresh and empty minimal setup when you installed this server and followed only the perfect server tutorial and no other guide? To me it looks like there was an other control panel or setup installed on this server so it was not a fresh minimal install at the beginning or you installed some other things that are not described in the perfect server as there can not be milter lines in main.cf when you followed the perfect server tutorial. Maybe you should consider to just reinstall the server from scratch, starting with a clean and empty minimal ubuntu system and follow only the perfect server guide, this is probably faster then trying to debug your current setup.
Till, I surely followed the Perfect Server guide only, more because I have no recourse to any other. However, i will take your advise. I will reinstall the whole server today and get back to you. Thanks for all the assistance so far.
