Hi there, after installation Centos perfect server in accordance with article-> creating a new site (as ISPConfig admin) -> adding joomla installer to 'web' folder (var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/) (as Centos root)-> I have met the following issue: HTML files work fine (I can see index.html - Welcome to your website!), at the same time any PHP files don't work (after opening I receive HTTP ERROR 500). Cant Install Joomla or open any PHP files. In ISPconfig manual can't find a solution.
Your problem is that you get a 500 error in your website while the thread you originally posted in is about a 500 error in ISPConfig, so that's a completely different topic. I moved this to a new thread now. The reason for your problem seems to be that you uploaded the joomla installer under a wrong user (root) so that the webserver and web user can't access it. To fix that, run: chown -R web1:client1 /var/www/clients/client1/web1/web/* and ensure that you use php mode php-fpm or php-fcgi in the website and that the suexec checkbox is enabled. Next time if you don't want to have to chown the files, upload them with a FTP user of the site or use a shell user of the site to download the joomla installer as this ensures that all files are owned by the right user.
