I've downloaded the image and burned it to a DVD, and it's walking me through the install, and when I select a kernel to be installed so the system can boot, I get the following error: "An error was returned while trying to install the selected kernel into the target system. Check /var/log/syslog or see virtual console 4 for the details." This error happens no matter which kernel I select to install. I have no idea how to check /var/log/syslog, as I do not have a command line, nor do I remember how to check the virtual console for the details (not necessarily sure if I would be able to resolve any errors myself, either). How do I resolve this problem so I can get Ubuntu Studio up and running on my system? Thanks tempomental
I've written this tutorial: http://www.howtoforge.com/ubuntustudio_7.04 and I can't remember being prompted for a kernel... When exactly are you prompted for a kernel? During installation, at bootup, ...?
