    Greetings all, just installed Ubuntu 8.04.1 LTS Server (64-bit) on my old machine, and followed the perfect server howto. I completed it successfully up to installing ISPConfig. I downloaded and unpacked the tarball successfully, but during the install I received the following error:

    Code:
    ########## WEB SERVER ##########

    Checking for program httpd...
    /usr/bin/httpd
    OK
    Checking the syntax of the httpd.conf...
    httpd: bad user name ${APACHE_RUN_USER}
    ERROR: The syntax of your httpd.conf is not ok! Please correct the error. The installation routine stops here!
    As I am new to all of this, I haven't the faintest what that is telling me, or how to go about fixing this. If someone could help me out with what the problem is and how to get ISPConfig to install correctly I would greatly appreciate it.

    Thank you!

    The ISPConfig version you used is too old.Please install 2.2.25 and not 2.2.18.
