Hi, I download the ova template for test in vmware, but the problem is not posible modifing ip by nano, not save the config.
To be able to save the file, you must be root user. Log in as user 'administrator', after you logged in, run the command: su root to become root user and then edit the file.

I've downloaded and tested that ova file as well here and I'm able to edit and save the file without issues. Maybe you somehow imported the disk as readöonly in ESXi, if that's possible? I use VMWare workstation here, so I don't know all options in ESXI. I just know thatn several other users use that image on ESXi. You say that it does not save the file, do you get an error in that case?
I have to install it with your guide, a pity that it does not work, but I can not waste more time, I've been like this for 3 days.
I must admit that I have no idea why writing to disk in the VM does not work for you, I never had that case yet.
