every time I save a setting in a site, index.html gets recreated

    can this disturbing behaviour be fixed/stopped?

    I changed some settigns for a site, and wasn't aware the index.html would be recreated, so I walked away, never noticing that the site was broken, as index.html is processed before index.php so the site was down for quite a while :-9
