I have tried the tutorial for Debian Etch and ISPConfig 3.0 several times, and I could not get it to work. I think that we could all use this.

    Thanks.

I tried to use the tutorial for debian etch thinking that they would not be the same, but every time that I load it in I get errors.

The failregex's do not seem to work properly because they prevent the program from loading the jail's correctly. This is especially true for Courier POP3, Courier IMAP, SASL.

    Thanks.

Here is the error that I get after I paste in the jail.local.

    Code:
    2009-11-19 08:52:42,678 fail2ban.jail : INFO Creating new jail 'courierpop3'
    2009-11-19 08:52:42,678 fail2ban.jail : INFO Jail 'courierpop3' uses poller
    2009-11-19 08:52:42,708 fail2ban.filter : INFO Added logfile = /var/log/mail.log
    2009-11-19 08:52:42,709 fail2ban.filter : INFO Set maxRetry = 5
    2009-11-19 08:52:42,710 fail2ban.comm : WARNING Invalid command: ['set', 'courierpop3', 'failregex', 'courierpop3login: LOGIN FAILED.*ip=\\[.*:\\]']
I am running a ISPConfig 3.0.1.6 system. No real changes to the configuration. I have updated MySQL and PHP.

Thanks for any help you can give.
