I used your setup for FC4 and everything worked well with ISPConfig. I later did not want ISPConfig so used the removal file/package and it practically destroyed my server. I then opted to use another two setups: http://fedoranews.org/cms/node/411 and http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_core_4_installation_notes.html. So far, besides yours, I like the last setup. I am having problems with both of them as they are not configured/compiled with php-gd or mysql support according to phpinfo.php. Ø How do I compile PHP to have GD and MySQL support? Ø Could I use your setup just without ISPConfig? Please let me know if I can send anything to you to make it easier for you to help me.
What exactly isn't working anymore? There should be Fedora packages for this. Search for them like this: Code: yum search php-gd yum search php-mysql Yes, but then make sure that you don't disable PHP.
The service named had to be disabled first in the start up. I then disabled it in the Services completely. The network also discontinued to function. PHP, MySQL and Apache still worked. That is not serious. I will try the Perfect FC4 Setup without the following: Virtual interface ProFTP. Will leave vsftpd I will keep you posted as I'm sure I will have more questions untill I have my server working to meet my requirements. I'd like to create a tutorial on it and can give you a copy to check and post for others later. Thanks, Grant
