Hi, I'm using the http://www.howtoforge.com/fedora_virtual_postfix_mysql_quota_courier for Fedora Core 5. I keep getting errors when I try to rebuild the new RPM. Here is the error: ... /usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lmysqlclient collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make: *** [master] Error 1 make: *** [update] Error 1 error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.94646 (%build) ... Any ideas on this? I've followed the how-to exactly, plus had to install a few extra packages. I tried to follow the link below to the authors RPM, but it gave me an "not authorized" error. http://www.howtoforge.com/downloads...ysql_quota_courier/postfix-2.2.8-1.2.i386.rpm I get: wget http://www.howtoforge.com/downloads...ysql_quota_courier/postfix-2.2.8-1.2.i386.rpm --17:40:52-- http://www.howtoforge.com/downloads...ysql_quota_courier/postfix-2.2.8-1.2.i386.rpm => `postfix-2.2.8-1.2.i386.rpm' Resolving www.howtoforge.com... 85.10.207.148 Connecting to www.howtoforge.com|85.10.207.148|:80... connected. HTTP request sent, awaiting response... 403 Forbidden 17:40:53 ERROR 403: Forbidden. This is on a new Dell 1850, 64bit FC5. Thanks for any input, mostly why that link is erroring out! Thanks, Nathan
Fixed - Almost I've fixed most my problems, I basically reloaded my FC5 install, it was acting up in more ways than one. I made sure to load all the dev libraries too on the intial install. When I went to rebuild the RPM again, that did the trick, everything went smoothly. If anyone needs that built RPM, let me know, I can get a link for it. Nathan
I'm sorry, the correct link is http://downloads.howtoforge.com/fed...ysql_quota_courier/postfix-2.2.8-1.2.i386.rpm I've fixed this in the tutorial. Thanks for the hint.
