hi, i just installed a fedora 8 but while the wired network works fine.. the wireless is trying to connect but after 2-3 minutes i get the message that is been disconnect.. is this has to do with network adapter drivers/..?(if it has then how to make it work?/) or is it just something elese thanxxxxxxxx
the problem is that my network adapter is intel pro 3945abg ifollow up every how to thats on the internet but i am keep getting errors... i try with ipw3945 drivers andbut the ieee80211 kept not installing... the following errors is whein i try to install iwlwifi-1.2.25.. [root@localhost g3org3]# cd iwlwifi-1.2.25 [root@localhost iwlwifi-1.2.25]# make Kernel Makefile not found at '/lib/modules/2.6.23.1-42.fc8/source' chmod: cannot access `compatible/*': No such file or directory /bin/sh: line 2: compatible/kversion: No such file or directory can u please tell me how to fix this?i definitely need a wireless network
Hi psychobeauty, the drivers for Intel WLAN cards are installed on Fedora 8 by default - there's no need to install another driver. thanx for replying but if its fedora 8 have intel card by default then why i dont have wireless?? the problem is that my pc finds wireless networks..but whrn i click to connect,the circles on the network icon start it turns green and then after a couple of minutes it tells me that its disconnected.... anythoughts??
