    Hi Folks,

My Fedora server was running pretty good until just got a reboot in order and then the server came up offline.

I've checked network settings and all is is properly configured eth0 IP address is 172.16.1.11, mask 255.255.0.0 and gateway 172.16.1.1 all was good.

But for some reason am unable to ping gateway 172.16.1.1, am typing command:

    ping 172.16.1.1 then
    172.16.1.11
172.16.1.1 Host unreachable and suddenly server went offline.

On server boot up, there is no errors all goes well.
I've tried with a ubuntu live cd and set IP address and able to ping 172.16.1.1

Then get back to my Fedora and unable to ping gateway!!!

There is any way to reload network drivers or modify current installation without throwing away all configuration done in that server??

    Thank for the hints :)

Make sure your firewall in fedora is turned off, it might be in the way.

    Yes, it is already disabled!!

After installation system was working fine, no wondering why after boot went offline.

    Thanks

Well seems that I've found what was the problem.

It's related to a hardware compatibility, network device is unable to be managed by linux, that's why can be on the network, same thing happen when I've installed on Fedora 10, was unable to manage ethernet.

Still a mistery why lan driver did not load up, only thing that may occur, and update to 10.

Am going to build from scrat and see..

    Regards,
