    Hi

We have a server with Fedora Core2 installed by one of our collegue. We had hardware RAID 1 configured and few days ago one of the hard disk died and we replaced faulty hard disk and rebuild the raid from Bios.

Problem now is when ever we reboot the server all the file system goes to READ only mode. As a result none of our users can do andyhting

I was wondering if any of you could help us out here. We can't leave this server with single hard disk for longer.

    Thank you

    What exactly did you do?

    Any errors/warnings in the logs?

this is what we did and after this we just tried rebooting normally. there aren't any error on log because whole file system is read only nothing can be written on to log.

Problem i thing is when system boots it is seeing two copies of everything and system must be seing other copy as open so it turned everything as read only(as it is build as a RAID 1 on two hard disk).

    Thank you

Does your boot loader allow you to boot in a "fail-safe" system or something like that?
Can you check if /etc/fstab has changed?
