We have been running ISPConfig securely and happily for quite some time thanks largely to Falko and Till and users in these forums.

We were recently informed that our server model must change from ubuntuserver to redhat entreprise for consistency in our server platforms. Can anyone tell us if the howto listed here: http://www.howtoforge.com/the_perfect_desktop_fedora_core6? will work on redhat entreprise?

I recommend to use this howto for RHEL as centos is a RHEL clone based on the official RHEL sources:

The only difference between rehl and centos or fedora ios that rhel uses up2date to install software and not yum. But the names of the rpm packages and the config file locations and content should be identical in rhel and centos.

    fedora and enterprise - differences?

    Thanks, Till,

I've been told on other forums that fedora is a more current release of what enterprise is likely to be come (in the same way ubuntu is debian suped up).

Are there major differences in the packages between fedora and centos and rhel?

Usually Fedora has newer packages than RHEL and CentOS. It's possible that these are not as stable and mature, although I've never had any problems.
