Fedora kernel help

    Sorry that my title doesn't explain this very well, but anyway. What I want to do in install kernel 2.6.24.3-50.fc8 but i have no idea how to go about it, like i don't even know where to find the kernel to download. Thanks for your help.

    Hi dr3w807,

    you'll get an update notice (in the top gnome panel) when the new kernel (2.6.24.3-50) is available. I think you'll get it in a few hours.

    Oh, well I got a update but it was for the nvidia package, so I guess I need to be patient. Thanks!

    Yes, I saw it too a few minutes ago. Have you already installed the new nvidia package?

    I tried to but I don't have the newest kernel so it wouldn't let me!

    That's good :) You have the right packages installed (yum-kernel-module/yum-fedorakmod). You'll be able to install the new nvidia package when the new kernel is available.

    Jeez I can't wait it still hasn't shown up... I really wanna play oblivion, and I;m just looking for new games right now. I'm still super excited about compiz fusion, I havent used that in a while!
