I am studying for my RHCE exam and had an idea. I was wondering if there are any programs that will corrupt random files or otherwise fubar a good installation for the purpose of practicing troubleshooting. No, I don't mean a virus. I mean real world human errors, program bugs, or hard drive failure file corruptions. For example, the program could erase your passwd file or reset your iptables and you would have to figure out what is wrong with the computer based on dmesg or other error messages.
