For my networking class, my professor would like us to install a firewall on the system, monitor it for about a day or however long it takes to get a good list of different logs, and then print it off and show it to him for a lab grade. I'd like to use the built-in firewall for ISPConfig as I hate installing software that I will never use. Does ISPConfig log anything denied by the software firewall?
No, the ISPConfig firewall dont log. But you might be able to enable logging, have a look at the file: /etc/Bastille/bastille-firewall.cfg
