    Good Afternoon (morning and/or evening),
I've spent the last several days working with a text mode install of Ubuntu Hardy and Fluxbox on a test system and I gotta say... it's AWESOME!! I think I finally found the configuration I've been searching for. In fact, I'll be creating a remastersys dist so I can install on my production desktop.

Don't get me wrong, XFCE, Gnome and KDE are fine environments. In fact, I began with Ubuntu, moved to Xubuntu, back to Ubuntu and finally Kubuntu. It's been a great experience but I felt I just wasn't there. I've also been looking at PCLinux (TinyMe), Puppy, OpenSUSE and even Fedora. Well, I'm on board with a window manager approach.

    Sorry for the ramble...

My question is what is the precedence surrounding backgrounds? They can be set with the init file, themes, fbsetbg, feh, etc. I cannot find any specific information on the specific pecking order.

When I boot, where does the system look FIRST for a background, and then SECOND, etc.?

    TIA...

    regards.
