Fresh CentOS 7 Install Over Existing CentOS 6 Software RAID-10 File System

About 2 months ago I reinstalled my CentOS 6.10 x86_64 OS on my physical machine that has 6 - hard drives (4 - 1TB and 2 - 2TB WD Black drives). While doing the install I defined /boot - /dev/md0 as software RAID-1 made up of /dev/sda1 and /dev/sdd1 both 1024 MB. The remainder of the disks is defined as /dev/md1 defined as vg_jpdsys3 totaling 2.72TB. Everything else is defined as logical volumes in that volume group including swap (lv_jpd3swap = 16384MB). Everything is running fine no problems but life interfered and I hadn't finished the installation.
A fiend of mine convinced me to move this system to CentOS 7 before installing additional software. I started the CentOS 7.4 install and got to the point where I was to allocate disk space and the installer didn't see any disks??? On another machine I moved from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7 and the CentOS 6 was using software RAID-1 and the CentOS 7 installer saw those disks.
Why can't the CentOS 7 installer 'see' the CentOS 6 software RAID-10???

OK, All is well.
I found 2 issues:
1 bad disk in the raid-10 environment (disk replaced - unknown why Centos 7 is more sensitive than Centos 6)
1 NIC that there is no Centos 7 driver for (replaced with new NIC)

Started to reinstall my Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.1) found that there are issues where Centos 7 requires 11.2.0.4 minimal - moving to 12cR2 (12.2.0.1).
This upgrade is going to take more research than I thought. Glad I've got 20 months to do it!
