Hi, just got ISPConfig up and running and I have added a couple of domains - everything is just great!

But, I have some users that want's to use the ftp-access but they have to use their "full" username to login (web5_user) and I would like to make it possible for them to login with just the username "user" - with other words, skipping the userprefix.

Is there any way to do this, or do I have to do it manually?

Using proftpd, running on Ubuntu 7.04.

You can not do this because this would mean thet the FTP users are not unique on the server and the FTP daemon would not be able to know to which website the account belongs.

What you can do of course is to disable the user prefix at all for all usernames under management > system config > settings, but you must be aware that usernames must be unique for the complete server then and not only unique for every website.
