Whenever I try logging in as a user to the FTP server with a user such as web1_tester, it will let me login but as soon as I run a command such as ls or something, it will say connection closed by remote host. How do I get this to not kick me out no matter what? Thanks, josh abts
Do you get any errors in your xferlog or syslog? Do you have FTP enabled in the website settings? Does the WebFTP work?
I am getting some weird thing in the syslog that is showing that an FTP session is opening and closing instantly every half an hour. I have copy and pasted that for you below. I have no idea what that would be, it is not me. Code: Nov 3 09:00:01 imgthis proftpd[13917]: imgthis.com (imgthis.com[::ffff:127.0.0.1]) - FTP session opened. Yes, I do have ftp enabled in the website settings, however when I try logging in as a user, it lets me login such as web1_tester however as soon as I issue a command it says Connection closed by remote host. Now however that I tried it, I can login using an FTP client rather than the Microsoft Command Line FTP and it lets me upload some files, however it sometimes will disconnect me with the following error: Code: [17:57:29] 450 Transfer aborted. Link to file server lost. The WebFTP portion does work, as does an FTP client, but like I said only partially. I am not sure what is going on at all that would cause this...any ideas? Thanks for the help! You guys are the best!
That's ISPConfig's monitoring scripts that checks if the FTP server is up and running. That's ok. Did you try both active and passive transfers in your FTP client?
