Hi all I am looking for an ISP tool (admin/reseller/costumer) which allows me to administrate FTP accounts. I do not need anything else like databases, mails, subdomains and such... Now, I am aware that such tools are very unlikely existing (however, if you know one, please let me know) and therefore I am trying to install "usual" or "more common" ISP tools. Is ispConfig installable on a linux server WITHOUT using the whole lot of things (only ftp). Apache and such will be installed but not used for domain administration (only serving ispConfig)? Is it easy to "disable" other services? I guess I need to "disable" it by alter the frontend GUI... Thank you very much for your replies and ideas. stefan
Yes. But you should take a look at ispconfig 3 then as you can install it in expert mode and just choose to install apache / webserver related things and ftp but not mail and dns. In ISPConfig 2 you would have to install everything. In ISPConfig 3 it is easy, in ispconfig 2 it is not possible.
