    Hi,

Finally got ISPConfig installed on a Fedora Core 4 machine :) We installed video cards on our servers to allow X.org to run on them hence FC4.

I am unable to get site FTP working, although the anonymous FTP to the site is working fine.

As well ISPConfig's Web-FTP is not working, saying :-

"Could not connect as user AaronNGray"

(I am using ProFTP which I do not know am used to VSFTP on our Redhat 9 server) and cannot see how the config files of ProFTP refer to user accounts at all.

Did you check the FTP checkbox in the website settings?

FTP usernames in ISPConfig have the form web[ID]_user and not "AaronNGray". Or did yoe empty the username prefix?

Till is right. I guess you tried to connect with the username of a client or reseller. That doesn't work. Client and resellers exist only in ISPConfig, but not on your system. You must use the users you create on the "User & Email" tab.

Okay thats great I did not create an end user account. All working now.

I printed out the manual to read.

    Many thanks,
