Hi to all, This is my first question as I recently begun experimenting with ISP Config. Using the guide on how to forge and the ISPConfig3 manual I managed to setup a two server configuration. One server is the web,mysql and mail server and the other will be the DNS server. The thing is that on the monitor tab shows an error for my DNS Server, stating that the FTP-Server on that machine is offline. I never installed FTP daemon on that server (according to the guide) as it will serve as a DNS. I would like to correct or disable this error. I am thinking of installing PureFTPd service to correct the error.. Will the error correct itself if I just install the service or additional configuration will be needed afterwards to connect the FTP service with the ISPConfig3? Also is there another way to disable the error without installing the ftp service?
The server is just a dns server? Then all you have to do is to go to system > server services in ispconfig, edit the server and uncheck the "Filserver" checkbox to disable the ftp monitoring on the dns system.
