wrong forum sorry: ISPconfig3 question I successfully installed the system and am trying to get connection to the domain I set up for testing the hosting pannel. All seems to be ok but I do not quite grasp the concept of FTP on the userside (I am used to Plesk settings). I see there is no DNS record for FTP so what is the name of the server I should use to get connected on port 21 with FTP for this particular domain? Does it jump to the right users webdirectory when this is entered correctly? Or should I have added additional DNS record(s) first? Tnxs in advance for your answer!
You can use any hostname or IP address that is pointing to that server. You can as well create a new DNS record.
