    Hi there,
I have a new ISPConfig installation and i setup a user (through Webmin) with the homedir of /var/www (which is where ISPConfig is creating the websites).
So when i log into FTP as this user i can see a list of all the websites and easily get into a particular one rather than logging in with individual usernames for the individual sites.

The problem is, i cannot click on the symlinks (eg, www.example.com which forwards to /var/www/web20). When i do click on them the ftp program (Transmit) says No Such File or Directory.
I have used other ISPConfig installations with the same sort of setup (using the same FTP program) where there is no problem to click on the symlink and go directly into the web20 folder. Its so much easier to find a website url in the list than remember which folder to click on.

What can i do to get this to work? Do i need to set the homedir of the ftp user to / ?? - i would prefer not to.

Any advice would be very much apreciated,
    Thanks in advance,
    Robert

You will have to login with the admin user of the particular site, otherweise you mess up the permissions.

I was afraid you might say that.
That is what i will do, but do wish there was an easier way (when working with a number of websites on the same server).

Thanks very much for your help, it is much appreciated.
