From my local network I can get into www.missionnicaragua.net:81 and admin the ISP config. How do I open something up to be able to do that from the outside world. My westell has NAT with ssh, DNS, HTTP open. I have tried opening up setting up my own port 81 udp and my own port 81 tcp and still cannot get in that way. Should I have just set the blamed thing up to get in with https the secure shell? If so Can I change something NOW to do that?
Hi dhonnoll78, If you have NAT enviroment, to access from outside do ISPconfig Manager you need: > On your westell, configure to redirect request for port 81 TCP for local IP address of machine that have ispconfig installed. You no need configure 81 UDP. Best Regards,
So wha I need is everything incomming 81 tcp goes to 81 tcp? but no udp? is that correct? doing both is what makes the conflict maybe?
You only need TCP for ISPconfig access on port 81 (opening TCP and UDP does not conflict) Make sure that you open port 81 and redirect it to the correct server LAN (local) IP Have a look here and see if your modem / router is in the list. If so, follow the instructions on how to do it.
As far as IPs go my NAT is not a true NAT it will only direct to one IP (that of the server) it assumes only 1 computer can connect and refuses to route to or give out more than one IP (on IT'S (the Westell's) local side) I thought I had 81 tcp open I will check it out agian. Thanks again for all the help
