I am getting ready to install linux BIOS onto my laptop... it should be simple, because EVERYTHING is supported %100 by linux.... i just would like to have a good CMOS/Eprom programming tutorial. For those of you who dont know it, its the chip thats you're BIOS and that makes you're computer start up and run. Im going to install linuxBIOS wich if sucessfull with bring down my boot times to between 4-8 secs and will raise the efficiency of my entire machine. ///////EDIT///////////////////////////// Do you know a way to get my BIOS string with out opening or restarting my pc?
Post reply, i fixed up my problem. I went to www.badflash.com and www.motherboard.com and i found info there.
