I have been using Google Chrome on a recent installation of Debian Wheezy, and all of a sudden, it is broken.

When I click the icon to open the application the google ball bounces, and eventually stops, but it never opens.

Running this from the command line:
    Code:
    google-chrome-stable
    I get this error:
    Code:
    No protocol specified
[20051:20051:0711/090830:ERROR:browser_main_loop.cc(240)] Gtk: cannot open display: :0

I have no idea why all of a sudden it's broken, but a google search on the problem results in nothing.

    OS: Debian Wheezy
    Desktop: KDE

Has anyone else seen this? Any ideas how to resolve it?

    Thank you,
    Darin

Ok then create an alternate profile for chrome, for this goto
Further uninstall chrome & then install the chrome. It will work for you.

It happens when the config file gets corrupted, it could happen due to some irregular/uneven updates of chrome.
