I just finished installation of ISPConfig. All went perfectly. However, when I restarted my system, I cannot get the GUI interface. I do get the desktop background and a task bar, but all is blank. There are no icons and nothing on the screen to interact with.

    Any ideas?

    check /etc/shells

Check /etc/shells . . . there's an entry in there that is usually in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS that needs to be removed. I can't remember the exact entry though . . . but REMOVE it and you should reboot and you'll be fine.

JUST REMEMBER TO CHANGE THE ISPCONFIG PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY AFTER YOU REBOOT!!

Sorry for the caps but I did this same thing a few months back and it hurt!!
