Hi, I'm quite new to this forum and would appreciate any help. When i try to partition my hard drive via PCLinuxOS, the roller bar which lets you choose the size of of the drive can only go to a maximum of 76000mb and a minimum of 41000mb. But the problem is that i only had 12gb of hard disk space free. What is going on? thanks before hand
Are you sure? Usually the partitioner doesn't let you choose more space than is available... Anyway, you could partition your hard disk with GParted ( http://www.howtoforge.com/partitioning_with_gparted ) before you install PCLinuxOS, and then you tell PCLinuxOS to use the existing partitions.
