Hello, I noticed a few days ago that sometimes my xen backup script isn't able to remount the disks....

    so i did a cat /proc/mdstat

    and got this result:

    Debian-40-etch-64-minimal:/# cat /proc/mdstat
    Personalities : [raid0] [raid1]
    md3 : active raid1 sda4[0] sdb4[2](F)
    297668288 blocks [2/1] [U_]

    md2 : active raid1 sda3[0] sdb3[1]
    10490368 blocks [2/2] [UU]

    md1 : active raid1 sda2[0] sdb2[1]
    208768 blocks [2/2] [UU]

    md0 : active raid1 sda1[0] sdb1[1]
    4200896 blocks [2/2] [UU]

so, my harddrive seems to be down, is it or could that be caused by some other?.. dunno what.

    greetings

okay i downloaded smartctl now and checked the harddrives...

i'm doing a long test atm and iam already getting:

    Num Test_Description Status Remaining LifeTime(hours) LBA_of_first_error
    # 1 Extended offline Completed: read failure 90% 8663 31438516

so i think its realy f*** up, isn't it?
